One Wide Border Keepsake Stained Glass Invitation Box

Send me your invitation and a photo and I will create a one of a kind stained glass box to have as a lasting keepsake.  Here are examples of  boxes designed around invitations, a photo or invitation inserts are placed on the inside of the lid.  Glass colors are selected to compliment the invitation with a single border of matching glass to surround the invitation. 

Fabrication 

Each piece of glass is cut to size, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered together at the seams. The invitation is sealed between two pieces of clear glass. Mirror is used at the bottom so all of the beautiful colors and textures are reflected. Solder may be left silver color or treated to appear copper or black, solder is silver in color.  A matching chain is attached to the lid and bottom of box and the lid is hinged at the rear. Rubber bumpers are attached to the underside to prevent scratching of furniture. 

Specifications

To determine finished box size add 2 ¾” to the invitation size. Example, a 5”x7” invitation will yield a 7 ¾”x 9 ¾” box.  Boxes are 1 ¾” high.

This is a box I made for a client, your box will be custom made to match your invitation. The glass colors will be chosen depending on the colors of your invitation or by your recommendation. 

Completion Time

Box will be shipped within 2 weeks from the time I receive your invitation.
